I’ve got nothing to say, but was feeling the urge to blog. I’m not sure what that means.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been glued to the Olympics this weekend. Now if only I had a hi-def TV…
I think I successfully restored my itunes library today off of my ipod. I hope so anyway. I had to purchase a $20 program called ipod access to transfer the songs to itunes. Well worth the money…
I’ve been running sound at church quite a bit lately. The goal of every FOH sound guy is to not be noticed. Today I was noticed in the first service… We were showing a Dave Ramsey video as the message today. When Ed hit play on the video, there was no sound. I wasn’t even getting a signal to the board. (We had successfully checked the signal before the service…) So Bryson came out and started talking. It took us about a minute to fix the problem. (Somehow the cable into the mixer had unplugged after soundcheck.) Then it took another minute to get Bryson to stop talking… Second service was a non-issue. Two words – strain relief.
The music sounded awesome though…
Speaking of church audio and video… Mike Sessler has a great little blog called Church Tech Arts. Definitely a must-read.
My good friend, Randy Bowles, took me to lunch at Great Wall today. My fortune cookie said “Maybe you can live on the moon in next century.” Not sure what to make of that…
A few months ago, I created a Facebook account. I have really enjoyed reconnecting with some of my high school friends that I haven’t seen in years. It’s been interesting to catch up with people living in Ecuador, Siberia, and the Philippines. Wichita doesn’t seem very exotic in comparison.

Despair.com has a new demotivational poster out today. I thought it was pretty funny.
And I’m spent…
