Sunday night Jada brings me a piece of paper with lyrics she had written for a Christmas song. She wanted me to record it with her singing and me playing guitar.
So last night, we did just that. I helped her tweak the lyrics (just a little) and then we went at it. Her goal is to get it in itunes with artwork and everything! I was having mic problems and couldn’t get a good audio recording. I’ll keep working on it though.
Here’s what we came up with…
“Baby Named Jesus” by Jada Burgess
Christmas is about a baby being born
In a stable with the cows, the donkeys, and the sheep
The baby’s name was Jesus, and his mom was Mary
And his dad was Joseph….
Far away from Bethlehem, the shepherds saw an angel
Who sent them to a baby, a baby named Jesus
Far, far away, there were some wisemen
The wisemen saw a star, saw it from afar
They went to see a king named Herod on the way
He wanted to kill the little baby Jesus
When the wisemen got there, they gave Jesus presents to be king
By the way, the random percussion is Jett…
